Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Technique

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Technique (IASTT) is an effective method of managing sports injury, acute or chronic muscular tightness, fascial pain, peripheral nerve entrapments, and even post-surgical scar tissue.   The technique utilizes shaped instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

IASTT allows the provider to detect and effectively break down scar tissue and other muscular or fascial restrictions that keep the soft tissue structures of the body from functioning normally. Adhesions within the soft tissue which may have developed as a result of surgery, immobilization, repetitive strain or other mechanisms, are broken down allowing full functional range of motion.
