Active Release Technique

Active Release Technique (ART) is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART.

The goal of ART is to target and remove adhesions (scar tissue) that can build up in soft tissues of the body.  Adhesions can be formed by acute trauma, repetitive strain and overuse (such as postural stresses).  All musculoskeletal injuries occur when tissues of the body are excessively stressed and dysfunctional.  Dysfunctional soft tissues can often be precisely identified and corrected using ART.

Certified Active Release Providers are required annually to complete post graduated continuing education in order to ensure that their diagnostic and treatment skills are consistently developed and refined.
